NookNest believes in being upfront with our readers. This page explains how we earn money and what that means for you. The short version: we use affiliate links, and they cost you nothing extra.
Amazon Associates
NookNest is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a special URL that tells a retailer (such as Amazon) that you arrived from our site. If you click one of our links and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission. This commission comes out of the retailer's margin — the price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or not.
How it affects our recommendations
It doesn't. We feature products because we believe they solve a real small-space problem, not because of any commission. Earning a commission never changes our opinion of a product, what we choose to recommend, or what we say about it. If we wouldn't use something in our own home, it doesn't make the list.
Where you'll see disclosures
You'll find a short disclosure near the top of any article that contains affiliate links, and a reminder in the footer of every page. We do this to comply with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and with the Amazon Associates Operating Agreement.
Other programs
At the moment, Amazon Associates is our primary affiliate program. If we add other affiliate partners in the future, we'll update this page to list them.
